Blue crabs are opportunistic hunters, and have been known to eat anything they can get their claws on. Don’t worry, this beautifully hand painted and professionally designed blue crab is a bit small to consider you as its next meal!

Also known as the Atlantic blue crab and the Chesapeake blue crab, the blue crab is common species of crab found throughout the western Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. As their name suggests, they can easily be identified by their vibrant blue colour. Blue crabs have predominantly cerulean limbs, although their carapace is a dark green colour in certain sections.
