Safari - Green Sea Turtle Baby

Although green sea turtles grow to be 5 feet long, their babies are only 2 inches long at birth! Female green sea turtles dig holes in the sand to lay anywhere between 50 and 200 eggs. After 2 months, the infant turtles are born and quickly make their way to the water!

Although their name suggests otherwise, green sea turtles are predominantly a brownish tan and olive colour. From the moment they’re born, green sea turtle babies are on their own – unless you want to help this little one make it to the water, of course!
